I visited a Bakonjo story-teller in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains - Mountain of the Moon- Uganda.
Through an interpreter he told me of past rituals and myths, how they arrived in Uganda, of marriage, circumcision and twins.
Twins were a 'misfortune', especially a breach birth, as the tribes had to make sacrifices to the spirits to avoid deaths. No hunting or sex was allowed during the last month of pregnancy and a double dowery had to be given on marriage of either twin.
