‘Here I Am’ questions identity. The outer ear impressions used in this piece are a positive physical identification of identity, as the spiral growth is unique to each individual. But the empty blurred reflective space represents loss and dislocation. A space for the viewer to question his or her own image. The positive body-form floats in an undefined space of uncertainty.
